After you register an account, you will be guided through the essential set-up steps needed to start managing your enquiries and collating any asset owners’ responses with SmarterWX Locate.
Step 1 – Complete your profile
Tell us about you. We require your company name, but would like to know about your role, the company you work for, and expected Before You Dig enquiry volumes. You may optionally load a profile photo here as well.

Step 2 – Link SmarterWX with Before You Dig (1100)
SmarterWX Locate collates Before You Dig responses for you, so you can cut your admin time and focus on higher value activities. To achieve this, you must link Before You Dig (1100) with SmarterWX Locate. Before You Dig (1100) is the free national referral service used to lodge dig enquiries. If you don’t have a Before You Dig account, you need to register before you can complete this step.
Enter your Before You Dig username and then click Next
This is the email address you used to sign up to Before You Dig (1100).
Enter your six digit verification code
Before You Dig will email you a six digit verification code. Check your email, and type the code into the boxes provided and then click Next.
I didn’t receive a verification code
If you don’t receive a verification code after entering your Before You Dig registered email address, please return to Before You Dig (1100) and check your account. Then return to Step 1 above.
Step 3 – Authorise SmarterWX
With your link between SmarterWX and Before You Dig verified, we need to update your Before You Dig email for enquiries to a SmarterWX email address. This ensures responses from asset owners responding via email (and not via the referral service) will be available in SmarterWX Locate.
